Fans in the arena in Poland and watching on their TVs at home had to wait for over 58 minutes of game time to see a goal in this Champions Hockey League Game Day 3 clash between GKS Tychy and Genève-Servette, with Vili Saarijärvi winning the three points late into the game.

The first period came and went with Geneva dictating large portions of play and testing the Tychy defence which stood as firm as a rock to deny any and all attempts coming their way. Geneva even had a lengthy powerplay to attempt to break the deadlock but failed.

The second period saw the Poles test their PP unit on two occasions - also unsuccessfully - while the game continued to unravell in its slow and careful flow. 

Coming out for the final 20, Geneva upped the pressure even more but to no avail - Tychy were not budging and an excellent Tomáš Fučík was performing exceptionally in net. With the clock ticking down, Vili Saarijärvi stepped up with a rocket of a snipe that ripped through the air and into the back of the net at 58:17. Shocked and with little time, the Poles didn't manage much to level the score, giving the visitors all points, despite playing one hell of a game in front of their home fans.
