- Lars Bryggman with two goals
- Oscar Alsenfelt 94.74% saves
- Malmö now top group
An explosive start helped the Malmö Redhawks to maximum points over Belarus' Yunost Minsk on Sunday afternoon.
It was the Lars Bryggman show for the opening period, scoring after just 12 seconds and then adding another at 9:56 to put the Redhawks in the driving seat early on. When Emil Sylvegård made it three with only 16:38 played the hosts were in a comfortable position.
Max Görtz added goal four a few minutes into the middle session to extend the lead further. To their credit the visitors didn't give up, and got on the board thanks to Eduard Grin with 3:55 to play in the period. No goals in the third saw the Redhawks take their second straight CHL home win and now top Group B.
"It's always fun to score goals and points. It’s good for confidence and I think we play well in both powerplay and five-on-five."Lars Bryggman (LGT Topscorer, Malmö Redhawks)
"Now we have met them once and will get some more video on what they are doing. We will continue to focus on our game and continue with what we are doing well."Fredrik Händemark (Captain, Malmö Redhawks)
