- Bud Holloway gets 2+1
- Skellefteå registered 67% efficiency on the powerplay
- The Swedish side saw the game out after taking the lead at 31:42
After a slip from a Skellefteå AIK defenceman, Storhamar Hamar began the game in a similar way to how they ended the last with a Steffen Thoresen backhanded an effort home after five minutes. The home side refused to let the visitors dictate the game, levelling courtesy of a deflection from a defenceman which landed perfectly into the path of Juhamatti Aaltonen at 9:16. Another powerplay saw another goal for Storhamar; this time Joel Johansson fired from the blue line to beat Mantas Armalis convincingly to make it 2-1.
The home side finally got their special teams underway when Bud Holloway scored through a backdoor slapshot to put the scoreline level once more at 28:09. This ignited a spark among them that showed when they finally found themselves on top as Holloway scored his second of the game only four minutes later. His stick got the final touch in front of net after a scramble of Storhamar players frantically tried to clear the puck away. The buzzer sounded following a glorious opportunity that went astray for Patrick Thoresen, who took his frustration out on the ice after his effort glided over the net.
