Ahead of the start of the upcoming Champions Hockey League season, we asked the Head Coaches of Bílí Tygři Liberec's six Regular Season opponents what their thoughts are on the Czech team - here's what they had to say!
Tappara Tampere Head Coach Kari Jalonen: ”Liberec are a team I know very well and I’ve followed them closely over several seasons. We know they are a competitive opponent!”
Red Bull Salzburg Head Coach Alan Letang: “Quick turnaround after our first game and a completely different type of challenge. Czech teams are known for their patience and transition speed. Playing the 2nd game of our CHL season just 48 hours after the first will be a great test to see how we respond both mentally and physically.”
HC Davos Head Coach Josh Holden: “Teams from the Czech Extraliga are tough. They play a heavy, hard game. This team will be a great test to see how hard we can compete.”
Herning Blue Fox Head Coach Jason O’leary: “A big and skilled team!”
Graz99ers Sport Director Philipp Pinter: “Rich hockey culture, a beautiful arena and always a large crowd. A typical Czech team – technically superb and physically strong. An extremely tough opponent on the road.”
Frölunda Gothenburg Head Coach Robert Ohlsson: “A tactically solid team.”
