Fribourg-Gottéron Head Coach Roger Rönnberg: “Another national champion. They are the best team in Danish hockey with a lot of championships. In offence, they are led by Nick Pastujov and two Danish veterans in Martin Bau and Morten Poulsen.”

Bílí Tygři Liberec Head Coach Jiří Kudrna: “Honestly, facing this team is a bit of an unknown for us at the moment. The same goes for Danish hockey in general. However, Danish hockey has long belonged to the wider world elite. Herning is coming off an excellent season, both in the Danish league and the CHL. We are looking forward to this match-up and are quite curious, as we don’t often cross paths with Danish hockey at club level.”

Eisbären Berlin Head Coach Éric Dubois: “With Herning, we’ll face the reigning champions of Denmark. We are not going to underestimate them. It will be their first CHL appearance so they will be highly motivated. We are excited to see what the game against them will be like and are going to prepare meticulously for it.”

Kölner Haie Head Coach Thomas Berglund: “As the Danish champions, Herning have qualified for the CHL and earned that spot with strong performances. I’ll definitely be talking to our Danish players, Frederik Storm and Patrick Russell, who can surely tell us more about the Blue Fox, since I’ve never played against them myself. This match-up might not be seen as one of the top games from the outside, but we know from experience that you can’t underestimate any opponent at this level.
